Meteoact

Logo Design - Branding - Web Design

MeteoAct is a B2B Start-up focused on using data to help companies make smarter decisions in the face of major weather events. Their technology combines weather simulation with decision-science algorithms to translate forecast probabilities into data-driven actions.

Data driven from scratch

MeteoAct is a new company aimed at companies seeking to mitigate risk. The goal was to create a visual brand that quickly stands out and builds confidence.

The founder of MeteoAct, Chris Hanlon, is focused on using his years of experience combined with tested models to help companies make smart decisions.  On my part, it was exciting to help build a brand from the same perspective of experience, combined with innovation.

Refine in digital

After reviewing the sketches, I landed on the brand's key idea. Data is at the center of the decisions companies make after working with MeteoAct.  I wanted a mark that could easily communicate that idea to both the client and to potential customers.

Once that idea was solidified, it was time to bring the logos from the sketches into the digital world. This is where I tried to refine exactly how to capture the idea of MeteoAct in a way that was succinct, distinguishable, and lasting.

Present with purpose

The final logo presented to MeteoAct was the result of thoughtful planning and deliberate design choices at every stage. From the initial conversations to the iterative refinement process, each element was carefully crafted to capture MeteoAct’s mission and unique identity. The logo ultimately reflected the brand’s values and provided a strong, memorable visual foundation for all future communications. On the right is an excerpt from the presentation shown to the client, explaining the primary logo design.

fit for print

With the logo complete, the rest of the visual identity of MeteoAct can be established. This includes fonts, colors, and other marks. These are the building blocks of a strong brand identity which I was able to implement across different print, digital, and web projects. Together, these elements create a cohesive and recognizable presence that reinforces MeteoAct’s values and mission at every touchpoint.

As a startup founder, I want to make a good first impression on potential clients

"Whether in-person on my business card or virtually on LinkedIn, whenever I make new contacts, the logo and branding designed by Kevin help MeteoAct stand out."
